An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MEP Site Engineer to oversee and manage mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) works on a key infrastructure project. Reporting to the MEP Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality works in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:-
Proactively engage in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, ensuring all works are executed in accordance with legal and project-specific requirements.

Work closely with the supply chain workforce to maintain high safety standards and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Ensure all subcontractors and suppliers adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

Identify and manage quality risks, ensuring all works comply with contract specifications.

Conduct installation and commissioning inspections, identifying and resolving snags and defects.

Provide engineering support for subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.

Develop and review subcontract design and construction methodologies, ensuring compliance with best practices.

Liaise internally with Project Managers, Design Teams, QA Teams, and Cost Control.

Coordinate works with temporary site services teams and relevant Rail Systems personnel.

Prepare for and oversee the delivery of works, including resources, procurement, consents, and pre-start documentation.

Work closely with the Asset Lead, MEP Delivery Manager, and delivery teams to integrate works into the broader project programme.

Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries and progress reports.

Identify and implement MEP efficiencies and opportunities at each project stage.

Develop site-specific programmes, monitor productivity, and report any deviations.

Ensure subcontractors meet contractual and technical requirements.

Maintain full and accurate records of changes, variations, and work-related discussions with key stakeholders.

Communicate with Project Managers, QA, and QS teams regarding any non-conformances or client instructions.
Essential:
-
Proven experience in delivering MEP systems, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related subject).

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing, and best practices.

Experience working with NEC construction contracts.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within integrated project teams.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Document Control Systems, and AutoCAD.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.

Relevant CSCS Card.
-
SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
