Are you an experienced Building Surveyor - living within 30 mins of Slough & Ealing. This Building Surveyor role involves leading and managing property investment, service & inspection, plus repairs for 20-30 locations from Slough to Ealing, with budget responsibilities between £1.75m-£2.5m.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage property investment, Planned works service & inspection, and repairs for a designated portfolio. near Uxbridge.
  • Undertake regular property inspections and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Collaborate with contractors and the Strategic Partnership Team to identify cost savings and deliver robust forecasts.
  • Engage with housing/care operations teams to ensure smooth and timely project execution.

Skillsets:

  • Extensive knowledge of building pathology and remediation actions.
  • Strong project management skills in investment, compliance services, and reactive maintenance.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to constructively challenge and influence senior stakeholders while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Resilient and able to work well under pressure, with a focus on creative and pragmatic problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing property activities in social housing, particularly within housing maintenance repairs or planned works.
  • Proven experience interpreting operational data to inform service delivery planning.
  • Significant experience in building pathology within a housing environment
  • Degree/HND in building surveying or construction related qualification
  • Working towards MRICS or MCIOB status is desirable.
