Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a specialization in Mechanical Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing costs for mechanical projects, from initial calculations to final figures.


Key Responsibilities:


* Assist in client requirements, feasibility studies, and cost analysis for mechanical projects, including tenders, repair, and maintenance work.
* Prepare and analyze project costings and tender documents, negotiate contracts and work schedules with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Allocate and oversee subcontractor work, ensuring projects remain within budget, perform risk and value management, and provide advice on procurement strategy and contractual claims.
* Develop responses to commercial risks, write detailed progress reports, value completed work, and oversee bills and payments.


Requirements:


* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, and professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, RICS, CIOB).
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, focusing on mechanical services, with strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in cost management software and measuring software (Ensign), with knowledge of ductwork and ductwork takeoff systems (Ensign).
* Have a basic understanding in ductwork systems in order to complete take-offs for material bought goods.
