The RoleAre you a passionate Drama Teacher with a flair for inspiring creativity and self-expression? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled educator to join our team. In this role, you’ll craft engaging and inclusive drama lessons that nurture our students' creativity, build their confidence, and enhance their communication skills.
What You’ll Do

Creative Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver imaginative drama lessons that align with students’ individual learning needs and IEP goals.

Engage and Inspire: Use diverse teaching techniques and resources to captivate students with varying abilities and interests.

Monitor Progress: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lessons to ensure every student makes meaningful strides.

Foster a Safe Space: Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore and grow.

Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to provide holistic support to students.

Lead Performances: Organize drama-related extracurricular activities, including school productions, to celebrate students’ talents and creativity.

Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing training to stay at the forefront of special needs education and drama teaching methods.

Support Students’ Well-Being: Offer pastoral care, addressing students’ emotional and social needs while promoting their overall well-being.

Build Community: Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community to foster a collaborative support network for students.
About You

Qualifications: A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field, alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience: Experience teaching drama to students with special educational needs is highly desirable.

Skills: Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to differentiate instruction and manage classroom behavior effectively.

Attributes: Patience, compassion, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with special needs students.
