A supportive Specialist School in Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join their team immediately. The school provides tailored support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated needs, such as social communication challenges and sensory processing difficulties. They are looking for proactive, patient individuals, ideally with backgrounds in subjects such as Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling, who are committed to making a positive difference in young people's lives.

Your Role as an Autism Support Assistant:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with Autism
- Promoting positive communication and social interaction skills
- Supporting the implementation of sensory and behaviour management strategies
- Helping students overcome barriers to learning and build self-confidence
- Collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions
This role is ideal for those considering careers in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, SEN Teaching, or Social Work. By building strong, trusting relationships with students, you'll help them develop essential life skills and reach their potential.
Role Details:
- Position: Autism Support Assistant
- Location: Hillingdon
- Pay: 83 - 95 per day (dependent on experience, training, and qualifications)
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
- Contract: Long-term temporary with potential for permanent placement
- Experience: Preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key!
