We have an opportunity for a Senior Childrens Support Worker within a new home for 2 children.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childrens support worker or senior support worker to take a lead role in establishing this new home for children with emotional and behavioural needs.

Main duties

You will support the Registered Manager and Team Leader in establishing and maintaining a safe, caring, nurturing and supportive home for 2 children who have experienced a difficult start in life.

You will support children with all aspects of daily life and provide a positive and supportive role model, responding to their emotional and physical needs.

You will play a key role in mentoring and guiding the team of support workers to ensure they are competent in their duties, and well supported in their role.

Daily activities will range from supporting the children to get up in the morning and attend school, providing care and support with domestic tasks, supporting them with socializing and trips out, and supporting and guiding them through emotionally difficult times.

You will contribute to care and support planning, inducting new staff, planning the day and directing staff, and ensuring a safe and holistic environment for the children.

Requirements

Experience of working in a childrens residential home

Ideally hold a Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care Children and Young People

Working Hours

8 hour shifts worked on a rota basis (5 days per week, including some night shifts)
