Our client is are looking for a dedicated Housing and Support Officer to join their team. The role involves providing housing management and housing-related support to a caseload of residents, ensuring rent accounts are monitored, and taking action to minimise rent arrears.

THIS ROLE IS PART TIME 30 HOURS PER WEEK ACROSS A SHIFT PATTERN

7 DAY ROTA 8:00am - 2:00pm and 2:00pm - 8:00pm

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various departments to deliver the best service for our residents and support them in engaging with progression activities.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage the intake of residents, ensuring all paperwork is completed and policies are clearly explained.
  • Monitor rent accounts, taking early intervention to minimise arrears and enforce action when necessary.
  • Maximise housing occupancy and minimise voids through proactive actions.
  • Investigate and address cases of anti-social behaviour.
  • Carry out Outcome Stars assessments and create person-centred action plans.
  • Monitor clients’ welfare and intervene with appropriate strategies as needed.
  • Liaise with external agencies to provide advice and advocacy for clients.
  • Conduct Facilities and Wellbeing Checks in accordance with policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to resident support.
  • Follow Safeguarding procedures and report concerns proactively.
  • Support residents in engaging with education, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in housing management and support.
  • Knowledge of rent account monitoring and arrears minimisation strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Competence in conducting assessments and creating action plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
