As a Head of Procurement, you will utilise your public sector knowledge to ensure the timely and compliant delivery of procurement activities by streamlining processes and fostering innovation. You will coordinate with technical, marketing, finance and IT teams to meet procurement deadlines and align all procurement programs with pre-tender and post-award activities.

Type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days at home)

Salary: Starting from £80,000 p.a.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a team of 5
  • Managing procurement programs from business case development to tendering
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Maintaining a clear audit trail
  • Overseeing due diligence on suppliers and contractors
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of procurement documentation
  • Supporting the regional business units in product development, providing expert advice
  • Contributing to the creation of training materials on procurement practices
  • Serving as a central advisory resource for stakeholders on public sector procurement contract regulations
  • Representing the company at public sector procurement events

Skills and Experience:

  • MCIPS qualified
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Experience in public sector procurement and ensuring government rules and regulations are followed
  • Detailed knowledge of contractual frameworks
