Hire Desk Controller- Uxbridge

The Hire Desk Controller role based in Uxbridge is with a well established, accredited business who supply key equipment to festivals and other similar outdoor sites/events. This role is available on a permanent full time basis

Client Details

My client is a rapidly expanding business based in Uxbridge. They are making their way through the busy summer period and are now ready to take on a Hire Desk Controller to join the team on a permanent basis.

This company have a great family vibe, they work hard but play hard and known for REALLY taking care of their hard working employees.

The key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Answering inbound calls.
  • Deal with all telephone & email enquiries / orders from customers, and provide accurate information as required.
  • Ensure accuracy of all paperwork and that procedures for Hire / Sales contracts, Purchase orders, Stock transfers, Asset administration, are adhered to.
  • Liaise with the workshop and drivers to ensure equipment required for hire is available.
  • Co-ordinate Drivers to ensure equipment is delivered and collected from customers on time and efficiently.
  • Making courtesy calls for all services and deliveries.
  • Directing deliveries to the right place between drivers and the client.
  • Ordering stationary, monitoring stationary stock levels
  • Organising refreshments for meetings/Directors

The successful candidate will have the following skill set:

  • Previous office based Customer Service experience.
  • Positive upbeat attitude
  • Willing to get stuck in and help out- a real team player.
  • Previous or current experience in the construction or logistics industry would be a benefit but not essential.
  • Strong administration and communication skills.
