We are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our client's dedicated and supportive team. Our Motor Vehicle Section boasts fully equipped, recently refurbished workshops with the latest equipment and resources, including hybrid/electric technology to support our growing course provision. Our learners are predominantly aged 16-19 and are working towards City and Guilds and IMI qualifications.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 16-19, focusing on Motor Vehicle/Automotive courses.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and cater to a variety of learning styles.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and productive learning environment within the workshop.
  • Stay current with industry trends, especially in hybrid/electric vehicle technology, and integrate this knowledge into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Motor Vehicle curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and college events.
  • If not already qualified, work towards achieving a teaching qualification with the support of the college.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle/Automotive.
  • Experience gained within the Motor Vehicle industry.
  • Preferably some experience in teaching, training, or assessing, although this is not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for Motor Vehicle.
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people aged 16-19.
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to obtain a teaching qualification if not already held.
