Join our dynamic team at our client's FE college as a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism. This role offers the opportunity to shape the futures of young individuals by imparting knowledge and skills related to the airline/aviation and hospitality industries. Our courses are designed to prepare learners for successful careers in these sectors or for further education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach a range of Travel and Tourism courses to students aged 16-19, from Level 1 to Level 5.
- Engage and motivate young vocational learners, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the travel industry to ensure relevant and current teaching content.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area; a degree is highly desirable.
- Experience working in the travel industry.
- Some teaching or training experience, particularly with young adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to professional development, including undertaking a fully funded Level 5 teaching qualification at the College if not already obtained.
