Maintenance Engineer, Verwood, £35,000

Purpose

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and factory infrastructure. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring maximum plant uptime and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

39 hours/week: Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-13:00

Key Duties as a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer:

  • Maintenance, fault finding, and repair of production equipment, including injection moulding machines and factory infrastructure
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment and document safety checks
  • Conduct safety checks, including fire alarms and working at heights inspections
  • Perform routine water checks, including legionella and salt levels
  • Manage PAT testing requirements and coordinate third-party contractors
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and support the tooling maintenance team as needed

Your Experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer will Include:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer with electrical and mechanical skills
  • Background in manufacturing, with experience in maintaining machinery such as moulding machines, CNC equipment, conveyors, and robotics
  • Ideally competent in both single-phase and three-phase electrical circuits, as well as 12/24V DC systems
  • Basic IT proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
