A prestigious Aerospace group is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their busy and expanding engineering facility.

Responsibilities:   

  • Ensure all Company Procedures are adhered to
  • Responsible for maintaining company AS9100 Certification, all Customer Approvals and Company QMS
  • Act as primary contact with all stakeholders in matters pertaining to Quality.
  • Lead Inspection Team providing detailed support when required.
  • Collate and Report Quality KPI's to Senior Management Team
  • Identify trends to facilitate continuous improvement activity in a bid to drive down the cost of poor Quality and improve delivered Quality to customer
  • Ensure all Non-Conformances are investigated in a timely manner and robust preventative actions are implemented
  • Liaise with other group company quality functions on matters of best practice.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate annual internal audit programme

  • Analytical approach to decision making/problem solving
  • Act as mentor/trainer in relation to process improvements
  • Customer facing professionalism

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • HND/HNC education related to manufacturing (or equivalent experience)
  • Detailed technical inspection knowledge
  • AS9100 qualified auditor (internal or external)
  • Proven track record of Quality Management in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of AS9100 good practice methodology
  • Conversant with Quality Tools - 5y, 8D, Ishikawa, Pareto
  • Conversant in Word and Excel

Desirable

  • Use of MRP
  • Six Sigma
  • Mechanical Inspection
  • Technical CNC machining experience
