Electrical Engineer/Project Manager

My client designs, builds and operates Solar and Wind Turbine renewable energy systems throught the UK.

They are currently looking for an Electrical Project Manager with hands on engineering experience to work with an existing team based in their office and from their nationwide sutes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • High and Low Voltage installation work when required on all projects.
  • Carryout planned and reactive maintenance when required on all sites.
  • High and low Voltage electrical design, plant specification and liaising with subcontracted designers for High Voltage design.
  • Completing analysis of site performance to make improvements to ongoing operation.
  • Identifying, recording and responding to faults, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Completing designs and reports.
  • Reviewing and monitoring all asset managed renewable energy sites on a rota basis, including weekend cover

Essential Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Technical and Vocational Qualification or Level 3 Diploma.
  • BS7671 18th Edition
  • High Voltage experience
  • Methodical, accurate and process focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Driving License.
  • Flexibility for working throughout the UK, including evenings and weekend.
  • Minimum 5 years working within the renewables industry.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience of working in PV installation and maintenance, together with onshore wind.
  • CAD experience.
  • Experience in communications set-up and configuration.
  • HV Authorised Person / Switching Course.
  • 18th Edition amendment 2.
