My client a well known organisation in the Wakefield are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to come on board and join their professional and friendly team. The role will be to assist in the production of monthly management accounts for all subsidiary companies, and be part of a friendly and professional team. This role will go very quickly so if you are interested and experienced within this field please apply asap today.

Your duties will include;

To assist in the production of monthly accounts for all subsidiary companies by:-

  • Preparation of monthly journals
  • Perform initial reviews of accounts
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparation of analysis work
  • Running of regular downloads, preparation of reports and distribution to recipients
  • Analyse, prepare and pay monthly staff expenses
  • To assist in the preparation of the annual audit
  • Assist in monthly returns for company bank accounts
  • Budgets & Forecasts
  • To assist in the preparation of budgets
  • To assist in the preparation of revised forecasts

Ledger Maintenance

  • To assist in the maintenance of the sales ledger integrity, purchase and nominal ledgers and set up new codes to correctly capture data for management information purposes
  • Assist in the closing of month end ledgers

Skills

  • To work as a member of the Finance and Accounts team to produce accurate and complete financial information on time and in full
  • To be fully competent with computer systems, with reference to ERP systems
  • Good working knowledge of purchase ledger and cashbook management
  • To have a good working knowledge of Excel
  • To possess a good attention to detail
  • To be able to work under own initiative and as an effective member of the team.
  • To have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
