Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic construction business in the Wakefield area as they look to recruit a Part Time Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper into their team on a part time (between 25 - 32 hours), permanent basis.

Duties of the Finance Assistant will include but are not limited:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements & accounts 
  • Invoicing 
  • Ownership of WIP 
  • Proactively chasing outstanding arrears and payments
  • Month end journals 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience from a finance based role 
  • Have a good understanding of Accounting
  • Have good IT and finance system skills, as well as good MS Excel skills
  • Possess excellent communication and attention to detail skills
  • SAGE 50 / Xero experience preferred not essential 

This role offers flexible working hours between 7:30am - 5pm, between 25 - 32 hours per week. 
Reduced hours out of term time would also be considered. Please note, this is a fully office based role with salary up to £30k DOE.
