Operations Manager - Early Years. Wakefield. Hybrid

This is a fantastic senior level role for an experienced Childcare / Early Years professional to further their career. We work with this Training Provider, a successful independent company who now have national coverage, and the role has come about due to internal promotion.

If you are currently in a senior role within the training industry, within the Childcare / Early Years sector this ideal - aside from the generous package on offer, you will become part of a friendly, ambitions senior management Team, in a fun, busy, demanding and fully supported role.

As Operations Manager, you will be first and foremost managing your team - this is made up of Childcare Tutors / Assessor and some Functional Skills Tutors, all of whom are now working from home / hybrid.

Duties will include -

Recruit, manage and develop Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors in line with the company’s Vision, Mission and Values

Ensure new staff inductions are managed effectively to ensure maximum productivity and engagement

Agree and set targets with Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors to ensure KPI’s are met and exceeded

Motivate/drive Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors to achieve high levels of performance in line with agreed targets and deadlines

Carry out monthly 1-1 meetings with Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors to manage and review performance levels

Carry out field-based support with Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors including KIT days

Coordinate mentor-based support for Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors including CPD based activities and IAG

Maintain high levels of audit compliance to Educations & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) standards

Encourage and ensure a quality orientated culture for continuous improvement

Ensure Skills Coach and Functional Skills Tutor paperwork is completed to the minimum required quality standards

Monitor learner retention levels and achievement rates with Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a home based role, with the expectation you will be able to travel to the H/O in West Yorkshire (very easily accessible!)

It’s expected candidates to be from the Childcare Training sector, passionate about delivery of training with evidence of being able to manager Tutors / Assessors - a leader, who is able to support and drive the team.
