Qualified Nursery Assistant, Full-Time Position in Wakefield.

At Trust Education, we are working with a nursery school in the heart of Wakefield, committed to providing high-quality early years education in a safe and nurturing environment. We are currently seeking a qualified Nursery Assistant or Nursery Nurse to join us to work via Trust Education at a nursery school in the City. This is a full time position working from 8:30 - 3:30pm.

This is an exciting opportunity for a someone who is keen to make a significant impact in the early years of children's education while enjoying the flexibility and support that comes with working through a supply agency.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to assist in the planning and delivery of fun and engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Provide outstanding care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
  • Support the daily routines in the setting, assisting with feeding, nappy changing, and promoting self-independence.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to create a welcoming, collaborative environment.
  • Monitor children's development, keeping accurate records of their progress and reporting on milestones.
  • Promote and maintain positive behaviour and emotional well-being in all children.

Qualifications and Criteria to apply:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education / Childcare (or equivalent) or if you hold a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification, we still encourage you to apply! We have additional positions available for those looking to further develop their careers in the childcare sector.
  • Have a genuine passion for working with young children and contributing to their development.
  • Have excellent communication skills, able to effectively engage with both children and adults.
  • Be a strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Have an enthusiastic and proactive approach to childcare, be able to offer different ideas and concepts to develop the minds and young children.
