On behalf of our client, a leading FTSE 100 housebuilder, we are seeking a talented Engineer to join their team. This is your opportunity to work with an industry leader, delivering exceptional residential developments while enjoying outstanding benefits and career growth opportunities. The candidate will form part of the technical team of which we have an engineering side and a design and planning side. They will work closely with the design and planning executives as well as the land, commercial, production, sales and customer care teams. Primarily involved in running schemes from land offer acceptance through the planning process, live site stage through to site close down. Would suit an Engineer or someone from a Technical Coordinator background

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Engineer, you’ll:

  • Provide expert engineering support throughout all stages of the development process.
  • Undertake civil engineering design or evaluate external consultants’ designs to ensure they’re cost-effective, compliant, and practical.
  • Commission and manage consultants for civil and structural designs, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality information for tendering and production.
  • Work closely with local authorities, statutory bodies, and other key stakeholders to overcome engineering challenges.
  • Ensure designs adhere to CDM/EMS regulations and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Manage community engagement consultations to support planning applications.
  • Continuously appraise and evaluate new site opportunities for development.
What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Extensive industry experience in housebuilding engineering, including roads, sewers, utilities, foundations, and land drainage.
  • An engineering-related degree or qualification (ideally accredited by RICS or ICE).
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Windes, and Microdrainage.
  • A solid understanding of technical and regulatory requirements, geotechnical and environmental reports, and remediation techniques.
  • Proven ability to deliver innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions under tight deadlines.
