Job Title: CNC Miller  & CNC Turner
Location: Wakefield
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (44 hours per week, including a 1-hour break each night)
Rate: Starting at £20 per hour, plus a 25% night shift allowance

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist

  • Operate and set up HAAS 3-axis vertical machining centers (VF2 to VF9 models).
  • Program machines for producing specific component parts as needed.
  • Ensure components are manufactured within tolerance according to technical drawings.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Key Skills & Experience of  the CNC Machinist

  • Proficiency in setting and operating HAAS milling machines; programming experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with relevant inspection and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety in an engineering environment.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of 4th and 5th axis operations is advantageous.
  • Minimum: City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline (desirable).
