Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a fantastic Project Manager role, on behalf of a leading manufacturer based in Wakefield.This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong CAPEX project management background, with a sound understanding of process engineering, who is looking for the next step in their career to work in a small but established site based projects team.As the Project Manager you will:

  • Development of the functional strategy for Projects in collaboration with the Managing Director and Business Leadership Team (“BLT”)
  • Active collaboration with the wider EUK team to facilitate improvement opportunities, translating these into capital projects
  • Accountability for all phases of site capital projects from engineering through to construction and commissioning in line with project timings and costings
  • Working closely with the Procurement Team to select appropriate contractors to support the execution of project work in line with project scope and budget ensuring that all SHE and Quality requirements are met
  • Identifying internal resource requirements from Maintenance, SHE, Technical and Operations teams to ensure the resource availability at the right time for the project
  • Working closely with both Esseco UK internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless and continuous management of the project portfolio
  • Review and manage safety and regulatory requirements of projects specifically COMAH and Process Safety, ensuring all steps are defined and followed correctly in the process
  • Initiate the required Process Hazard Analysis, according to the Esseco UK relevant procedures and the industry best practices
  • Ensure that progress is reported clearly and on a regular basis to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide internal progress/status reports, including financial tracking of projects, progress against milestones to ensure on time and on budget completion
  • Identify and escalate any deviation that impacts on project deliverables
  • Handover completed projects to internal customer (manufacturing/operations), including commissioning and operative documentation, training, equipment manuals etc…
  • Lead and promote site safety

To be considered for the Project Manager role you will need:

  • Engineering Degree/ Chemical Engineering Degree
  • Knowledge of current and relevant HSE and UK legal requirement for engineering, constructions and chemical COMAH operations
  • Proven track record delivering CAPEX projects on time and within budget
  • Experience of leading commissioning of new plant and equipment
  • Previous experience in and Engineering Management role would be advantageous
  • An understanding of industrial engineering with the ability to liaise with engineering disciplines
  • Practical knowledge of process automation systems and connected activities (DCS, FAT, SAT)
  • Knowledge of best practice manufacturing & materials management systems
  • Process Safety Management knowledge would be beneficial
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, including MS Office software
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Data driven and self-starter
