If so, we have an exciting opportunity to work at a welcoming primary school in Wakefield. The role is to start January 2025 (asap) until July 2025/

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across all year groups.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their needs are met within the classroom environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans for students with SEN.
  • Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with pupils across different year groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting children with SEN
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in working with diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
