Career Teachers is seeking 4 qualified Teaching Assistants to join our team of dedicated supply staff at a Multi-Academy Trust based in Wakefield.

The successful candidates will work as Teaching Assistants, by supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English, under the direction of teaching staff. The role of Teaching Assistant across this trust is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.

These are temporary positions. The working pattern for this role is 30 hours per week, TA 27.5hrs & Midday Supervisor 2.5hrs, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting pupil's learning and attending to pupils' personal needs in order to support teaching and learning in the classroom and across the school.
  • Supporting the preparation, planning and implementation of individual and group learning activities and intervention programmes across the school.
  • There may also be times when you are required to work with pupils who have additional needs.

It would be advantageous if you:

  • Hold a childcare qualification such as CACHE Level 3
  • Have previous experience working as a classroom Teaching Assistant
  • Have experience working with children with additional needs
