Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting for an Interim Finance Director for an initial period of 3-6 months for this specialist manufacturing business based near Wakefield. Likely to be a March 2025 start.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director with a strong background in manufacturing to lead a finance team whilst the organisation appoints to the role on a permanent basis. The role involves overseeing financial planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance, aligning financial strategies with the company’s goals.Key responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership - lead the finance team, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Financial Strategy - partner with the MD on strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Reporting & Analysis - oversee audits, statutory reporting, and deliver key financial insights.
  • Risk & Compliance - ensure regulatory compliance and enhance financial stability.
  • Cash Management - manage cash flow planning and optimise working capital.
  • Operations - supervise daily financial operations, implement process improvements, and manage the ERP system.
  • Projects - handover projects from the outgoing FD to ensure continuity.

You must:

  • Be qualified with a proven experience in a senior finance role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Have a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Have expertise in financial modelling and ERP systems.
  • Have strong influencing skills and the ability to work successfully with the senior management team.
