THE ROLE:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients (individuals and partnerships) in relation to their personal tax returns, effectively managing all client relationship
  • Regularly meeting with and speaking to clients to ensure the provision of a knowledgeable and professional level of service
  • Dealing with P11D benefits forms
  • Dealing with HMRC queries and letters
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation
  • Assisting in the development of less experienced colleagues, providing training/instruction where needed and reviewing junior team members’ tax returns
  • Providing ad hoc advice on income tax and capital gains tax forms
  • Dealing with ad hoc/simple ERS returns
  • Dealing with ad hoc/basic Trust returns (e.g. nil Trust)
  • Liaising with tax specialists as required.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • An experienced personal tax professional currently working within a practice
  • High level of personal tax knowledge
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Able to convey specialist knowledge in an understandable manner
  • Strong team player, willing and able to share knowledge and experience with more junior colleagues
  • Confident and professional in approach
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with strong organisation skills
  • Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines in an autonomous role.
  • Highly proficient in IT including CCH and MS Office
  • ATT Qualified ideally or Qualified by Experience
