Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business near Wakefield who are recruiting a Finance Apprentice to join their team. The main duties initially will include posting purchase invoices and credit control. You will gain practical experience and knowledge of financial processes. They are ideally looking for AAT Level 2, but this is not essential.

Pay: £6.40-£8.00 per hourJob Type: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial calculations and data entry tasks
  • Support the preparation of financial documents, including invoices, purchase orders and credit notes
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Assist in monitoring and managing customer accounts to ensure timely payments
  • Support the preparation of credit reports and account reconciliations
  • Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment terms
  • Post purchase invoices

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Proficient in handling numbers and basic calculations with precision
  • Keen interest in finance and enthusiasm
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel
  • GCSE level (minimum) including Maths and English (A*-C)/(9-5)
  • Working towards or accomplished AAT Level 2 (desirable)
