Our client is a utilities and connections provider, they are currently looking for an Estimator to join their team in Wakefield.

The main purpose of this role will be to support the sales and tendering function of the business.

• Interpret client requirements.
• Produce detailed costings using excel spreadsheets.
• Understand contestable and non contestable connections as well as beyond the meter installations.
• Correct interpretation of electrical loadings.
• Produce outline designs for use at estimating stage.
• Accurately cost the turnkey solution using the cleaner process model.
• Produce turnkey package solutions within a set timescale.
• Provide and feedback relevant KPIs.
• Carry out all work to the client, DNO and IDNO specifications.

• Acquire quotations /tenders from suppliers and manufacturers.
• To be fully aware of the market that they are operating within.

Requirements for the Estimator:

• Ability to work effectively within a team, with good communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
• Strong experience of Estimating High Voltage electrical construction developments including from 11kV, 33kV and 132kV
points of connections, primary and secondary substations and cable systems
• Worked on ICP/Residential projects
• Quick learner, with a thirst for continuous professional development.
• Customer service orientated, with a desire to achieve the best results and contribute to the success of the company.
