Our client is a leader in sourcing and manufacturing both branded and private label personal care products for the FMCG and "Away from Home" markets. They are seeking a skilled Head of Sales to lead a team of three sales professionals. In this role, you will drive growth within this channel, shape the sales strategy, acquire new business, and expand key national and international accounts. You'll oversee all commercial aspects of your accounts, managing substantial tenders with a focus on profitability for sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG or Away from Home sales, proven experience in managing large key accounts, 5-10 years of sales experience, and a track record in people management.

Duties include:

  • Setting the sales strategy to achieve growth targets
  • Managing a team of 3 business development managers
  • Developing existing accounts through range extensions, gap filling or targeting competitor products
  • Monitoring and reporting on sales performance
  • Developing new accounts and driving business growth opportunities
  • Working closely with technical teams on value engineering and product improvement initiatives
  • Being the product expert and being able to pass this knowledge to customers
  • Creating and presenting market insight to the customer

Requirements for the role:

  • 5-10 years sales experience
  • FMCG/ Away from Home industry experience
  • Experience of managing large key accounts
  • Experience of producing tenders and managing your own commercials
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and creating insights
  • Team management experience
  • Personal care, health and beauty product knowledge an advantage
  • Own label and branded experience an advantage Strong influencing, communication & presentation skills
