1:1 Learning Mentor

Location: Wakefield
Salary Scale: £95 to £120 per day
Start Date: Immediately

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Learning Mentor for one of their client schools in Wakefield, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to provide targeted support to students and help them achieve their academic potential.

Job Summary:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Develop and implement tailored learning plans.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with their academic and personal development.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
• Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Have experience working as a Learning Mentor or in a similar role.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process)

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.  

In addition to that, GSL Education are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants.
