Job Role: Assistant Design Manager
Location: Wakefield
Salary: 35,000/45,000 (DOE)
Assistant Design Manager required on a permanent basis for one of our regional construction clients basedout of the Wakefield office.
With a solid pipeline of projects for 2025/6 our clientis expanding their design team and is looking for an Assistant Design Manager to work on projects within theeducation, healthcare, commercial, distribution and industrial sectors up to20M in value.
The Role:
- Design Management / Coordination of projects.
- Manage the flow of design information, conduct design-gap reviews, develop value engineering proposals and to risk-manage the design development process.
- Work with the project teams, clients, designers and subcontractors to ensure optimal design solutions are employed.
- Deliver a design and sequence that can be delivered safely and maximise profit opportunities.
- Design gap analysis
- Consultant appointments including, Scope of services, Matrix of responsibilities etc.
- Attend and chair Design Team Meetings to ensure the timely flow and release of quality information and to ensure that this information is in line with contractual obligations.
- Produce technical information for company pre-qualification presentations.
