We have an excited new opportunity available for a leading manufacturer looking to appoint an Engineering Manager. Reporting into the Operations Manager you will take responsibility for not only the hands on maintenance tasks of you and your team, but attending monthly site improvement meetings and collecting/producing KPIs of how to reduce waste and improve plant efficiency, thus reducing waste time by collectively working, problem solving and improving together. The business are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong PLC knowledge and previous manufacturing experience. Engineering Manager - Key responsibilities - Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, PPM, Reactive Breakdowns, Manufacturing* Engineering Managers and Production Managers will work closely together on shift and share collective responsibility for their shift KPIs* Come up with a specific improvement project of ownership and follow such through to a positive conclusion and present such project to the wider site teams on a yearly basis* Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performance* You will need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment* Carrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant* You will have to ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirements* Continuous Improvement - identify new methods and procedures* Ensure accurate & timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables usedEngineering Manager - Key skills - Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, PPM, Reactive Breakdowns, Manufacturing* PLC trained* Basic CI understanding* Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment* Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical Engineering HND / HNC / BTech / ONC / C&G Level 3 qualifications or higher* 17th or 18th Edition preferredIf this job is for you, please click the apply button and we will contact you shortly for a confidential conversation
