We are currently partnering with a non-for-profit organisation based in Wakefield, who are recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary 3-6 month basis.This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of £18.10 via an umbrella company. The role is due to start ASAP and the successful candidate will be required in the office five days per week. Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing two monthly payrolls, one covering 3,000 employees, another covering 1,000
  • Inputting variable e.g. add hours, sleep-ins and on-calls
  • Calculating sickness deductions/payments, backdated pat, cost splits, incremental rises, changes in hours leaver payments and all other variable data relating to pay
  • Processing and checking of all starter and leaver information
  • Calculating and monitoring all statutory payments and ensuring current legislation is adhered to
  • Administering company’s benefits
  • Producing and distributing twice monthly payroll reports to relevant staff and dealing with all queries

Experience required:

  • Two years of payroll experience is desired

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
