Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Commercial Team
Location: Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH)
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our Commercial Team on-site at PRUH. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled QS to contribute to a wide range of projects, ensuring financial control and effective management of services within a dynamic and growing team.

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (with 1-hour lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:
- Review Requests for Alterations, Minor Works, and Hard FM Service Variations to assess and support the Operations Team with the pricing of any impacts on ongoing Hard FM Services or Life Cycle activities.
- Support the Commercial Team with Life Cycle Projects, including reviewing Subcontractor Fee Proposals and Applications for Payment, while liaising with the Operations Team to validate percentage completion.
- Prepare applicable Drawdown Requests to clients in accordance with project milestones.
- Manage early asset failures, ensuring appropriate paperwork is in place and maintaining effective management of work in progress.
- Attend internal and external meetings with stakeholders, providing insights and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Oversee and ensure projects are delivered efficiently by Vinci Building Solutions, who manage the full project cycle.
- Provide support for Rechargeable Works, Procurement activities, and other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Perform any reasonable tasks consistent with the role.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in managing commercial and operational aspects of construction and FM services.
- In-depth knowledge of contract administration, pricing, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of Life Cycle Projects and Subcontractor management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, highly organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in dealing with early asset failures and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- A flexible approach to handling ad-hoc tasks and challenges.
