Wireman / Site Installation Operative

My client in the Wakefield area require an experienced Panel Wirer for work shop / site installation operative.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess strong Electrical knowledge and be adept at assembling components using both power and hand tools. This role involves working with electrical systems, including logic controllers and surface mount technology, to ensure that all fittings meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Duties

Assemble various components and systems according to technical specifications and drawings.
Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete assembly tasks.
Conduct regular inspections of assembled products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fitting process.
Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies or defects in materials or workmanship.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fitting or a related field.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Familiarity with electrical systems, including logic controllers, is highly desirable.
Experience with surface mount technology is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Working Away required - clean driving licence.
