Job Description: Job Duties:
  • Source and purchase materials required for manufacturing and engineering processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and payment conditions
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of materials at all times
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand
  • Analyse market trends and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Materials Buyer or similar role
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in purchasing materials within the manufacturing or engineering industry

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and practises
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
