About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our excellent school in September. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs. You will be working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, if required.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or teaching assistance.
