Join Hays Education in supporting multiple specialist schools in Wakefield! We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and empathetic individual passionate about assisting students with complex needs and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work across various schools in Wakefield, providing tailored support to meet each student's unique needs, either one-on-one or in small groups.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with PMLD and complex needs.
  • Support students with personal care (feeding, toileting, changing) and mobility needs.
  • Use specialised equipment and techniques to aid learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student's development.
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding in challenging situations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students with PMLD and complex needs in the UK.
  • A proactive and caring attitude.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
