SJC Partners are delighted to be hiring for an exciting opportunity to join a successful business based in the Wirral, as they seek to expand their team with a new Accounts Assistant. Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend weekly Credit Control meetings.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions using Xero accounting software, based on company bank statements.
  • Monitor collections and loan payments.
  • Post journal entries and assist with the preparation of financial accounts for the business.
  • Attend weekly and quarterly meetings as required.
  • Provide year-end Xero reports to external accountants for year-end account preparation.
  • Supply accountants with self-assessment spreadsheet data at year end.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks, such as archiving at year-end, filing loan statements, and managing Companies House confirmation statements.
  • Assist the Company Accountant and Accounts Team with various accounting needs.
  • Undertake any additional duties as needed.
Key Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
