Robert Half are working in an exclusive partnership with a reputable, values-led organisation in Wallingford to recruit a newly created Finance Manager role on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting role that will be managing a small team, oversee the financial operations across the company whilst implementing processes and controls and be a part of a system implementation in the near future. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual that is keen to add value and someone that is passionate about leading a team and improve processes. The salary is between £37,500 - £42,500 plus hybrid working and other excellent benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Finance Manager role will consist of the following:
- Management of a team of x2; conducting reviews/appraisals, setting tasks and objectives and motivate/mentor the team.
- Approving quarterly payment runs; ensure the data is coded accurately on the correct account and approve frequent payment processes.
- Quarterly bank reconciliations; sign off and ensure compliance on all accounts.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed assets.
- Setting up supplier accounts; ensure bank details are correct, build/maintain relationships and deal with escalations/queries.
- Assist with tax and VAT reports.
- Processing claims submissions and ensuring all data is correct and up to date.
Requirements
To be considered for the Finance Manager role, you must ideally possess the following skills/experience:
- Must ideally have experience within a similar role or an all-encompassing accounting role.
- Ideally AAT qualified or QBE.
- Must have experience supervising/managing a team.
- Strong attention to detail
- Forward thinking
- Highly organised
- Experience in improving processes or a system implementation would be desirable but not essential
- Confident user of Excel; pivot tables, lookups
Salary & Benefits
- £37,500 - £42,500 annual salary
