Our client are a leader within a niche industry within Engineering, they are currently recruiting for a Production Quality Engineer to join their growing team!

Production Quality Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective quality control from goods inwards inspection through to the final inspection stage
  • Develop a strategic Goods Inwards QA Inspection process to ensure incoming materials meet drawings standards
  • ensuring that the capture, reporting and resolution of all quality related non-conformities is undertaken in an efficient and timely manner
  • Maintaining and updating the company Quality Assurance database (NCR) with the overall target objective of reducing both internal and external non-conformities
  • Liaising with the supplier quality engineer and other stakeholders to communicate quality defects affecting production, with timely resolution
  • Feedback of quality data to production teams by means of regular meetings to include team leaders and supervisors, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Provide information for quarterly reports on QA performance
  • Uphold Company HSE standards and involvement in on-site H&S audits
  • Ability to travel and visit suppliers and conduct both internal and external QA audits as required
  • Support in Final Inspection and moulding inspection as required

The ideal Production Quality Engineer will:

  • Minimum of five years previous experience in similar QA role within a fast-moving production environment
  • Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or ONC, A Levels, BTEC Diploma Level 4 or equivalent NVQ. Level 4 qualification
  • Problem solving skills such as 6S or 8D
  • Understanding and experience of robust QA / QMS procedures
  • Strong knowledge and application of FAIR, PPAP & FMEA
  • Knowledge of ISO9000
  • Understanding of ISO14001 and Health and Safety practices
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing process
  • Understanding of cost and financial impacts
  • Membership of professional body (advantageous)
  • Professional qualifications (advantageous)
