My client provides high precision CNC Milling/Turning and ancillary services to a variety of high-tech industries including Formula 1, Nuclear Safety and Science & Technology. They are currently on the lookout for a Quality Inspector to join their ever-growing team based in Oxford.

They are looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified ‘In-process’ inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply, through policing in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and ‘hands on’ approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR’s & development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and further development/improvement of the system.

Key Responsibilities – Quality Inspector

Inspecting, confirming and authorising in-coming materials and returns from outsources.
Approving In-Process production and validating ‘First-Off’ measurements
Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
Documenting all inspection results on company’s internal systems
Raising and investigating NCR’s with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
Liaison with customers and suppliers including conducting audits where required.
Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production

Qualifications & Experience – Quality Inspector

Ideally you will have a mechanical engineering background, working within manufacturing environment.
You will be able to interpret engineering drawings and support production improvement initiatives.
Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM
You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection.
You will be familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
The role offers the opportunity to progress to ‘full’ ISO9100 Quality Management position as well as ancillary roles such as Health & safety.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be supporting the production team striving for 100% quality.
