My client provides high precision CNC Milling/Turning and ancillary services to a variety of high-tech industries including Formula 1, Nuclear Safety and Science & Technology. They are currently on the lookout for a Quality Inspector to join their ever-growing team based in Oxford.

They are looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified ‘In-process' inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply, through policing in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and ‘hands on' approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR's & development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and further development/improvement of the system.

Key Responsibilities – Quality Inspector

  • Inspecting, confirming and authorising in-coming materials and returns from outsources.
  • Approving In-Process production and validating ‘First-Off' measurements
  • Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
  • Documenting all inspection results on company's internal systems
  • Raising and investigating NCR's with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
  • Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
  • Liaison with customers and suppliers including conducting audits where required.
  • Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production

Qualifications & Experience – Quality Inspector

  • Ideally you will have a mechanical engineering background, working within manufacturing environment.
  • You will be able to interpret engineering drawings and support production improvement initiatives.
  • Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM
  • You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection.
  • You will be familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
  • The role offers the opportunity to progress to ‘full' ISO9100 Quality Management position as well as ancillary roles such as Health & safety.
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be supporting the production team striving for 100% quality.
