About Us:

We are a small, dedicated fostering agency based in Surrey, committed to providing exceptional care and support to foster carers and the children they look after. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Supervising Social Worker to join our close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality supervision and support to a small group of foster carers, ensuring they meet the needs of the children in their care.
  • Conduct regular home visits and maintain ongoing communication with foster carers, offering guidance, advice, and practical support.
  • Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in the recruitment, assessment, and training of prospective foster carers.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
  • Attend and contribute to placement meetings, reviews, and other relevant forums.
  • Promote the welfare and safety of all children placed with our foster carers, advocating for their needs and rights.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience in fostering or working within children’s services, with a strong understanding of the fostering process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and professionals.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel across Middlesex as required.
