We are seeking an English Lecturer to join our dedicated team. This role involves planning and delivering GCSE and Functional English to groups of learners with varying abilities. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and includes desk and preparation time.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality GCSE and Functional English lessons in a group setting.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of learners.
  • Monitor and assess studentsā€™ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of studentsā€™ attendance, progress, and assessments.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities and staff meetings as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification in the subject area.
  • Experience in delivering GCSE and Functional English is essential for this role
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service already
