Our goal is to ensure every learner acquires the skills and confidence to succeed, particularly those who require extra help with their Functional Skills in Maths and English. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor to work 1 day per week, offering support to learners who need assistance with their coursework while completing their vocational training.Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group tutoring to learners working towards Functional Skills Maths and English qualifications.
  • Provide support with coursework, helping learners build confidence and competency in key skills.
  • Tailor sessions to the individual needs of learners, many of whom may have additional learning needs.
  • Collaborate closely with vocational tutors to ensure support is aligned with the learners' practical studies.
  • Monitor and report on learner progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
Requirements
  • A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent experience in delivering Functional Skills.
  • Experience tutoring Maths and English, preferably in a vocational or SEN setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • A patient, supportive, and encouraging approach to teaching.
