Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join our clients finance team. This key role will support the financial operations of the business, focusing on the consolidation of management accounts, preparation of statutory accounts, cashflow forecasting, tax documentation, financial controls, and finance systems management. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong technical background and a passion for continuous improvement and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate the monthly management accounts across the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow statements.
  • Cashflow Forecasting and supporting the production of the monthly forecast
  • Provide financial insights by producing monthly reports
  • Assist preparation of quarterly reporting
  • Assist in full-year statutory accounts
  • Support the preparation of annual tax documentation
  • Adhere to financial controls by maintaining compliance and ensuring all standards are met
  • Assist with production of monthly cashflow forecasts and annual budget cashflow submissions
  • Oversee the use and development of all finance systems for reporting and working with internal stakeholders to ensure access.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:Previous experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a medium to large-sized organisation.
  • Technical Knowledge:feStrong understanding of financial reporting, statutory accounts, tax compliance, cashflow forecasting, and finance systems.
  • Skills:Highly analytical with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Proficient in Excel and other finance systems. Knowledge of financial controls and reporting standards is essential.
  • Qualifications:Part Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA with a good understanding of UK accounting practices.
  • Personal Attributes:Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solver, and excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
