Gleeson Recruitment Group are excited to be exclusively supporting a high-growth and acquisitive manufacturing business in the Walsall area, who are looking to appoint a Group Finance Manager, in a newly created position.This position offers a real progression opportunity, as my client are succession planning for the future. A Director level role will be on the cards in the future.

This is a broad and strategic role that requires a hands-on approach to financial management, ensuring robust financial control and driving business performance.

Key responsibilities of the Group Finance Manager position:

Oversee the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls to ensure adherence to the latest financial reporting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of statutory financial reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate governance requirements.
Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors, fostering strong relationships to ensure smooth audits and compliance with tax regulations.
Take full ownership of treasury management and banking operations, optimising cash flow and financial risk management strategies across the group.
Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns, while managing head office payroll to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement and development of key financial processes, including group reporting frameworks and KPI tracking to enhance business performance.
Leverage Power BI and other analytical tools to enhance financial reporting capabilities, providing actionable insights and support to international subsidiaries within the group.

Qualifications and experience required for the position:

A recognised accountancy qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Significant experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.
Proficiency in financial ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
