This multi-office firm of accountants in Central England are seeking a talented tax accountant with supervisory level experience and significant tax skill with a view to offering a Tax Manager job in Walsall.
You’ll ideally be qualified to ATT level with CTA a bonus. We’re seeking an exceptional communicator, a confident leader and a friendly addition for this close-knit team.

Job Purpose
- Manage the tax provision, overseeing and motivating the team in Walsall.
- Work closely with a varied client portfolio, ensuring client tax expectations and deadlines are being met.
- Lead client liaison on all matters of tax including regular meetings, building trusted and long-lasting relationships.
- Manage workflow for the team including tax planning, compliance and regulations.
- Review efficiencies and recommend new processes to improve workflow.
- Maintain professional knowledge in line with changes to tax legislation.
- Advise clients on all matters of tax.
- Departmental billing.
- Confidently network and scope for potential growth of the tax department.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing supportive mentorship.
- Work closely with senior team members, providing support as needed.
- Set an example to the team as a natural leader.

The Successful Applicant
- CTA and/or ATT qualified or qualified by significant tax experience in practice.
- Previous experience mentoring junior staff.
- Previous experience building trusted relationships within a client facing role.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
- Strong leadership skills with a natural ability to inspire those around you.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and sound organisation skills.
