Job Title: Design Coordinator
Tier 1 Main Contractor
Location: London and Thames Valley (Reading, Oxford, Aylesbury)
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 + car allowance + excellent benefits
About the Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a Design Coordinator, driving innovative infrastructure projects across London (within the M25) and the Thames Valley region. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping designs that are safe, sustainable, and efficient while ensuring compliance with regulations and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate designs within budget, programme, and compliance requirements.
- Support CDM regulations and Principal Designer duties.
- Promote safety, buildability, sustainability, and environmental best practices.
- Liaise with construction teams to ensure site investigations and buildable designs.
- Oversee external design consultants and engage with stakeholders.
- Manage design change, risks, and opportunities while ensuring quality assurance.
- Contribute to temporary works processes and project handovers.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years in water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent (or working towards).
- Awareness of BIM and Temporary Works.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
