A Manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Head of HSE to lead their health, safety, and environmental strategy. As a pivotal role in the company, you will be responsible for improving the safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving HSE performance across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and develop a robust Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) strategy that aligns with the business objectives.
- Promote a strong HSE culture across the company and uphold organisational values.
- Oversee HSE compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement measurement systems to monitor HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead investigations and provide support on incident management and claims.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to report on HSE progress and drive continuous improvements.
- Lead HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to maintain and improve safety standards.
- Deliver training programmes, toolbox talks, and inductions to ensure the safety of employees and contractors.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Health, Safety & Environment leadership within manufacturing, logistics, or similar sectors, ideally supporting a group of sites.
- Strong strategic capability, with the ability to be hands-on and drive change in a fast-growing environment.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- A resilient, robust personality with a practical and adaptable approach to safety.
- Ideally experience with CDM regulations, manual handling, and ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
